Titans fans, media roast Cardinals for signing Dennis Daley

In what is one of the least impactful free-agent losses in franchise history, former Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Dennis Daley has signed with the Arizona Cardinals.

The team announced it has inked Daley to a two-year deal. The financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Daley was a disaster for Tennessee after being acquired in a trade with the Carolina Panthers, but to be fair he was thrust into a role he never should have been in.

The 26-year-old became the starting left tackle after Taylor Lewan suffered a season-ending knee injury. Daley gave up a league-high 12 sacks and 52 pressures in total over his 15 starts (17 games), per PFF.

It’s not entirely shocking Daley ended up on another team as a backup, but the fact that he got a two-year deal — no matter how much is guaranteed — is impressive for him and his agent.

Someone who didn’t come out smelling like a rose in this deal is former Titans director of player personnel and new Cardinals general manager, Monti Ossenfort. Here’s how Twitter reacted.
