Titans DL Jurrell Casey considers Colts QB Andrew Luck his nemesis

The Tennessee Titans have had their fair share of struggles on defense over the years, but few individual players have given the unit quite as many headaches as Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has.

To date, the Titans have never defeated the Colts in a contest Luck has started under center in.

The 11-0 record the signal-caller holds may do Indianapolis proud, but it certainly stings for Nashville. So much, in fact, that veteran defensive lineman Jurrell Casey referred to Luck as his nemesis when asked about the subject by FOX Sports’ Kristine Leahy.

“[The] biggest guy is Andrew Luck,” he said. “At the end of the season, that one kind of hit me the hardest knowing I was going against him, knowing we’re fighting for everything and I couldn’t go out there and play him one more time.”

Due to a knee injury, Casey was unable to suit up in the final week of the 2018 season when the Titans ultimately saw their postseason hopes slip away in the form of a 33-17 loss in Nissan Stadium.

Casey and the Titans will hope for a better outcome as they get the opportunity to face Luck once more in the 2019 season.

“At the end of the day, we’re getting ready for him next season,” Casey said. “We’ve got him two times next year, and it’s definitely going to be a good fight. They’re getting better and we’re getting better.”
