Titans designate Kristian Fulton to return from IR, sign 2 to practice squad

The Tennessee Titans made a trio of moves on Wednesday, but none bigger than designating cornerback Kristian Fulton to return from Injured Reserve.

The designation opens the 21-day window for Fulton to return to practice and be activated to the 53-man roster. Fulton has been on IR since Week 6 with a hamstring issue.

It remains to be seen if he’ll be activated in time for Week 10, though. When asked about Fulton’s status for Sunday, head coach Mike Vrabel said he’s going to wait and see how things progress during the week.

We had a hunch Fulton would indeed return this week after the team released Breon Borders on Tuesday. Let’s see if that comes to fruition.

The LSU product was in the midst of a breakout year and had established himself as the team’s No. 1 cornerback. His return would provide a huge boost for a Titans defense that was already playing great without him.

In addition to that move, the Titans added a pair of players to their practice squad in quarterback Kevin Hogan and wide receiver Chris Rowland. The latter was born in Tennessee and attended Tennessee State University.

Hogan replaces former Titans practice squad quarterback Matt Barkley, who was poached from Tennessee by the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday.
