Titans’ DeAndre Hopkins on verge of hitting historic milestone

Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins has been a breath of fresh air on the offensive side of the ball. He’s one of the few players who is living up to the hype by consistently doing his job at a high level.

That honestly shouldn’t be surprising to anybody since DHop is a future Hall of Famer who has been among the league’s best at his position for over a decade.

An offer for Titans fans

That type of dominance has Hopkins on the verge of entering prestigious territory.

The Titans’ wideout only needs nine more receptions, 111 receiving yards and one touchdown catch to reach 900 receptions, 12,000 yards and 75 touchdowns for his career.

If he hits those marks within the team’s final eight games, Hopkins will join Marvin Harrison, Jerry Rice, Brandon Marshall and Larry Fitzgerald as the only players in NFL history to reach all three marks within their first 11 seasons.

In total, only 16 players have reached the milestone numbers, regardless of number of seasons accumulated. DHop would be the only active player on that list.

Barring some type of injury, hitting those thresholds is inevitable, and it should happen sooner rather than later. Let’s just hope Hopkins hits them in tandem with some wins going forward.
