After a huge performance during the Week 13 game against the Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Corey Davis is on the cusp of breaking 1,000 yards for the first time in his career.
Davis’ 182 yards on Sunday, which were a career-high for him, now puts him at 801 for the season, just 90 yards shy of his career-best mark set in 2018. If he can average just 50 yards per game over the final four of the regular season, he’ll reach 1,000 yards.
For Davis, reaching that milestone has been a goal of his and it “would mean a lot” for him to get there, as he told the media on Wednesday.

Davis explained that his building confidence with practice reps is a big reason why he’s having the season he’s having, along with improved route-running and how he’s catching the ball.

Davis also didn’t forget to mention wide receivers coach Rob Moore, who he says has helped this year.

For Davis, his best season as a pro is coming at the perfect time, as the Western Michigan product and former No. 5 overall pick is set to hit free agency in 2021 after the Titans declined his fifth-year option.
And, with the way he is playing, Davis might have unfortunately priced himself out of Nashville.
