Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota should have been in for a big game given the Denver Broncos’ weak pass rush, but Sunday has marked one of the worst performances of the signal-caller’s career.
He was 7-of-18 passes for 63 yards and two interceptions before being benched in favor of backup quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
Head coach Mike Vrabel decided he had seen enough after Mariota threw his second pick of the day, a late throw intended for wide receiver Darius Jennings.
Instead, it went into the hands of Broncos defender Justin Simmons.
Tannehill remains in the game, and has completed both of his pass attempts for nine yards.
The Broncos lead, 13-0 at the top of the fourth quarter.
