Titans’ Ben Jones was elite in pass protection in 2019

Players within the offensive line don’t always receive the same type of credit that those who play at quarterback or wide receiver do.

But a solid offensive line comes before just about anything else in a successful offense, and the Tennessee Titans have exactly the guy they need in the middle of it all.

Ben Jones was not only one of Tennessee’s most important players in the lineup last year, but also one of the most impressive centers in the league for 2019.

Jones allowed just 10 quarterback pressures last season, good for fourth-best among centers, according to Pro Football Focus.

He also posted an 85.2 pass-blocking grade, the third-best at the position on the outlet’s list.

Like the rest of the population, Jones has been self-isolating amid concerns surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.

That doesn’t mean he can’t find ways to start preparing for the upcoming year in football, though.

He’s been working out at home, and the Titans recently took to social media with a video of his lifting weights outdoors and bouncing a medicine ball off the side of his house.

The Titans will look for continued consistency from Jones and the rest of the unit moving into the 2020 season with franchise quarterback Ryan Tannehill under center.
