Titans are slight favorites in Sunday matchup vs. Steelers

For the first time of the 2019 preseason, the Tennessee Titans are opening as favorites.

Last week, the Titans fell 22-17 to the New England Patriots in a hard-fought home opener in Nissan Stadium. Before this loss, the Titans had defeated the Patriots 34-10 in the previous matchup in Nashville after having lost to the Patriots seven consecutive times before that.

In Week 3, the Titans move on to face the Steelers in Music City — and the Titans are expected to come out with the win by a point spread of (-3), per oddsshark.com.

It’s not an unsurprising prediction, considering the Titans had all the momentum against the Patriots until the final quarter of Week 2’s matchup. Before that, they kicked off the preseason with a dominant, 27-10 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The projected score listed by the site has the Titans on top, emerging victorious with a final score of 25.3-17.7.

As of now, the Steelers lead the all-time series with an overall record of 46-32-0.

The Titans have lost the past two games, with their most recent win against the team dating back to Sept. 8, 2013 when Tennessee came out with the 16-9 win at Heinz Field.

The Titans and Steelers are scheduled to kick off at 7:00 p.m. CT on Sunday in Nissan Stadium.
