Titans announce release of QB Blaine Gabbert

With the signing of quarterback Ryan Tannehill, the Tennessee Titans have announced they will release quarterback Blaine Gabbert.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter took to Twitter with the information on Friday afternoon.

Gabbert spent the 2018 season with the Titans, serving as the second-string to starting quarterback Marcus Mariota.

The 29-year-old signal-caller saw action in eight games on the 2018 season, completing 61-of-101 passes for 626 yards, with four touchdowns and four interceptions.

He holds an overall record of 13-35 as a starter in his career, completing just 56.2 percent of his passes for 9,063 yards, with 48 touchdowns and 47 interceptions over the course of 56 games.
