Titans and Patriots are in discussions for joint practice plans in 2019

It will be a while before Tennessee Titans fans forget about the 34-10 home win the team had over the New England Patriots in 2018.

But it won’t be long until the two teams meet again.

The Patriots are on the Titans’ preseason schedule in 2019, and are also in discussions to have joint practices leading up to the Week 2 preseason game in Nashville, Tennessee.

While no exact dates are in place yet, the time frame of the contest to be held in Nissan Stadium in August 15-18, according to the NFL.

In March’s NFL Owners meetings, the Titans and Patriots requested to play each other in the preseason. Conversations of practices together transpired as well, and are now becoming more of a reality.

“So it was, “Hey, we’re putting in to play you guys in the preseason,” Vrabel said, “and Bill was like, “Can we come to Nashville and practice?’

“I think that would be a great idea. We practiced against the Patriots when we were in Houston (with the Texans), and I feel like they are a good team to practice against just because of the same expectations, trying to get stuff done, trying to get things accomplished but not fighting or anything.”

The last team the Titans held August practice with was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year.
