Titans’ Adoree’ Jackson is now one step closer to returning

Tennessee Titans cornerback Adoree’ Jackson has taken the next step to returning to the field after spending the entire season so far on Injured Reserve thanks to a knee injury.

The team announced on Wednesday that Jackson was being added to the “Designated for Return” list. This means that Jackson will have a three-week window to return to practice and will not count towards the Titans’ 53-man roster in the process.

Head coach Mike Vrabel briefty addressed Jackson when meeting with the media on Wednesday before practice. Surprise, surprise, he didn’t give us much detail about Jackson’s potential return to the field.

We had an idea that Jackson was inching closer last week, as he was spotted at practice doing work on a side field.

While it isn’t exactly clear if he’ll be back in time for the Week 7 tilt versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, chances are that won’t happen. The Titans placed Dane Cruikshank on the same list last week and he has yet to return.

Regardless, this is great news for the Titans, a team that has seen its secondary struggle mightily this season. Jackson is a difference-maker for Tennessee’s defense, as we saw last season when he missed time.
