Titans activate Darrynton Evans off IR, Isaiah Wilson off suspended list

The Tennessee Titans activated a pair of players Monday, taking running back Darrynton Evans off Injured Reserve and removing offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson from the team’s Reserve/Suspended list.

Evans, who ended off his third week of practice last week, was placed on the ‘Designated for Return’ list in November. This designation allowed for a 21-day window in which Evans could practice with the Titans without being counted the 53-man roster until activated from Injured Reserve.

Evans hasn’t seen the field since Oct. 13, when Tennessee faced the Buffalo Bills. So far this season, he totals five carries for 21 yards.

The Titans announced they had suspended Wilson, who was already ruled out against the Cleveland Browns, on Sunday for violating team rules. Wilson made his NFL debut the previous week, and has seen just three offensive snaps this year.

He was arrested back in September for a DUI, and was also seen at a Tennessee State party in August, a violation of NFL guidelines against gatherings of over 15 people.

Wilson has been on the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 two times this season.

The Tennessee Titans face the Jacksonville Jaguars up next on Sunday at noon CT at TIAA Bank Field.
