Gold Coast are set to take a financial hit from a COVID-enforced shift to Sydney but the NRL club is willing to pay the price to keep the season on track.
The Titans will fly out of Queensland on Wednesday to set up base at Homebush in Sydney's inner-west amid uncertainty over the sunshine state's COVID-19 outbreak.
To ensure there is no disruption to the NRL's fixture, Saturday's home game against Canberra has been relocated to the Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.
The April 10 match between the Titans and Newcastle at Cbus Super Stadium remains in question, potentially costing the club two bumper crowds following their encouraging start to the season.
Chief executive Steve Mitchell says the impact of having the competition halted, however, would be much greater for the club and code.
"There's no doubt it does have a commercial impact on you going through that but the NRL is very supportive," Mitchell said.
"This is about getting the code through and making sure our competition is still being played and we don't miss anything out of the draw.
"The club's in good shape at the moment. We did have really good crowds building and no doubt we'll have good crowds building when we get home.
"It is something we can't control and it's something we just need to manage for what it is at the moment."
The Titans are expected to take 30 players, as well as coaching and support staff, to NSW.
With the Gold Coast not part of the greater Brisbane area placed into a three-day lockdown by the Queensland Government on Monday, players will not have to face similar quarantine conditions in their hotel as those imposed on the Broncos - who arrived in Sydney on Monday.
