Titans’ A.J. Brown keeping his head up after rough start: ‘The smoke will clear’

Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown is off to a rough start to the 2021 season, something he referenced in a recent post on Instagram.

Brown tallied four catches for 43 yards and a score in Week 1, but since then he has tallied just three catches for 43 yards and had several drops in Week 2.

Adding to his woes, Brown’s Week 3 was cut short after just eight snaps because of a hamstring injury.

On Monday morning, Brown took to Instagram to talk about his early-season struggles, saying that “it’s been a rough couple of weeks” but that “the smoke will clear”:

“God makes no mistakes. He does everything for a reason,” Brown wrote. “It’s ups and downs with this game and I’m man enough to say it’s been a rough couple of weeks. I don’t pretend, not even for this app. Every year everyone deals with stuff and we find a way to handle it it and move forward. You can say whatever about me but understand I play for the man above. He’s my only audience. The smoke will clear.”

Assuming his hamstring injury isn’t anything serious, we fully expect Brown to bounce back and continue to post the kinds of numbers he has over his first two seasons in the NFL. He’s simply too talented not to.
