Titans’ A.J. Brown has good advice for rookie Caleb Farley

After a social media post in which Tennessee Titans cornerback and 2021 first-round pick, Caleb Farley, expressed confidence in himself, wide receiver A.J. Brown gave him a little advice: let your play do the talking.

Farley posted a story on Instagram with a picture of him wearing a Titans helmet, inserting a caption that reads, “free smoke @ whoever think they routes like that.”

Soon after, Brown retweeted the picture, saying “you gone have to stand on that. Just ball young fella, you don’t have to tell them. I’m on your side!”

While we love Farley’s confidence, Brown hits the nail right on the head. The more the Virginia Tech product pumps himself up publicly, the more he’ll be a target down the road for opponents and their fans should he falter.

Assuming he grabs a significant role out of training camp, Farley will get tested right away in Week 1, as he could be tasked with matching up with Arizona Cardinals wide receivers DeAndre Hopkins, A.J. Green and/or Christian Kirk.

And those are just some of the talented receivers Tennessee will have to deal with during the 2021 campaign. As long as he stays healthy, we’ll get a great idea of just how real the hype surrounding Farley is as soon as this season.
