Titans’ A.J. Brown has been money when targeted since 2019

Every day is “WR1 season” in regards to Tennessee Titans wideout, A.J. Brown. The two-tone blue finally hit the jackpot, and there is no arguing Brown’s development into one of the premier receivers in the NFL.

Since 2019, per Pro Football Focus, Brown’s leads the NFL in passer rating when targeted with a 130.1,  ahead of Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout, Chris Godwin, and Kansas City Chiefs’ speedster, Tyreek Hill.

And, that’s not all —  Brown registered the third-highest passer rating when targeted of qualified wide receivers during Wild Card Weekend after he finished with six catches on 10 targets for 83 yards and a touchdown versus the Baltimore Ravens.

The emergence of the former Ole Miss Rebel couldn’t have come at a better time as the Titans must decide whether or not to re-sign wide receiver Corey Davis this offseason.

Brown has filled the shoes of the first true X receiver the Titans have had since Derrick Mason. His strength on the boundary is unrivaled, and his dreams of following in the footsteps of his idol, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones, are coming to fruition.

Brown finished the 2020 campaign with 70 receptions for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns. The 23-year old got his first Pro Bowl nod, which figures to be the first of many in his career.
