College football season has arrived.
At this time of the year, each team is gearing up for a championship run, while select players are working to boost their stock for next year’s draft.
General manager Jon Robinson and the Tennessee Titans scouts have already taken an interest in some of these players, and are watching them closely for the next year.
Both Logan Ryan and LeShuan Sims are both set to be free agents after the 2019 season. If the Titans let one or both of these guys walk, here’s a look at some prospects the Titans could bring in to replace them.
Early Rounds (1-2)

- CJ Henderson– Henderson is considered by most draft analysts to be the best in the class currently. The corner has great speed and coverage skills to go along with his excellent size. In 2018 he had 38 tackles, seven pass breakups, two sacks, two forced fumbles and two interceptions. As a freshman, he had recorded four pass breakups, and four interceptions.
- Trevon Diggs– Diggs has experience playing at wide receiver, and and is extremely sticky in coverage. He was on his way to a break out season in 2018 until injury struck. He had 20 tackles, six pass breakups, a forced fumble and an interception.
- Kristian Fulton– Some analysts believe Fulton will be even better than Greedy Williams a season ago. While his stat line from 2018 won’t blow you away he has elite level athleticism, and was the top cornerback prospect coming out of high school in 2016. He posted 17 tackles, 7 pass break up, a forced fumble and an interception in 2018.
- AJ Terrell– Terrell has the make up as a shut down corner in the NFL. He’s given Clemson solid production since his freshman season. However, 2018 was his first season as a full-time starter. In 2018 he totaled 54 tackles, three pass breakups and three interceptions. As a freshman, he played a rotational role and posted seven pass breakups and an interception.
- Bryce Hall– Hall is going into his senior season at Virginia. Last season he led the nation in pass break ups with 24, and totaled 63 tackles, two forced fumbles and two interceptions.
- Troy Pride– Pride brings some serious speed and excellent coverage skills for an interested NFL team. In 2018, he recorded 10 pass breakups, 37 tackles, a forced fumble and two interceptions.
Middle Rounds (3-5)

- Lavert Hill– At 5-foot-11, Hill will be a good candidate to play the nickel position in the NFL. In 2018 he posted 14 tackles, five pass break ups and an interception for Michigan.
- Dane Jackson– Jackson is solid in coverage, and had 47 tackles, 14 pass break ups, and four forced fumbles. NFL general managers may question why some of those breakups didn’t lead to interceptions, but that could be due to his coaching at Pittsburgh. He totals three interceptions on his college career.
- Jaylon Johnson– The 6-foot corner has some impressive ball skills to go along with his size. In 2018, he posted 47 tackles, four pass breakups and four interceptions.
- Cameron Dantzler– In 2018, Dantzler posted 43 tackles, nine pass breakups and two interceptions. It will be interesting to see if he’s athletic enough to translate his success to the NFL level, though.
Late Rounds (6-FA)

- Michael Ojemudia– Ojemudia is a big cornerback who likes to get physical with wide receivers at the line of scrimmage. In 2018, he recorded 39 tackles, six breakups and three interceptions.
- Josiah Scott– Scott only appeared in five games for Michigan State last season due to injury. But in those five games, he posted 13 tackles, seven pass breakups, and two interceptions. At 5-foot-10, he is another corner better suited for the nickel role.
- Patrice Rene– Rene is another big corner on the list, standing at 6-foot-2. He has great length, but will need some coaching for the NFL. In 2018, he totaled 31 tackles, five pass breakups, and two interceptions.
- Jarvis Davis– Davis has been used as the nickel corner for Auburn over the past three seasons. In 2018, his first season as a full-time starter, he posted 41 tackles, 10 pass breakups and two interceptions.
