Titans’ 17 sacks over five games ties for second-highest in Titans-era

The Tennessee Titans undoubtedly have some issues to address, sitting at 2-3 and looking to turn their season around.

But there have been some bright spots.

The defense is having one of its best years in the Titans-era of the franchise in one particular area, having posted the second-highest total sacks (17) over five games since 2010, when the team totaled 22 sacks over the first five contests.

The Titans also recorded 17 sacks in five games back in 2005.

In 2019, 10 players have been in a sack, with nine players recording one sack or more.

That number ties with four other NFL teams (Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers) for most individual players with at least one sack on the year.

The list is composed of Logan Ryan (2.5), Sharif Finch (1.0), Cameron Wake (2.5), Harold Landry (4.0), Isaiah Mack (1.5), Rashaan Evans (0.5), Jayon Brown (1.0), Jurrell Casey (1.0), Reggie Gilbert (1.0) and DaQuan Jones (1.0).

The Titans will look to add to add to their sack total and even out their overall record as they face the Denver Broncos at 3:25 p.m. CT on Sunday at Empower Field at Mile High.
