Titan Travel cancels all holidays until 2021 due to uncertainty caused by pandemic

Titan Travel has announced that it is cancelling all holidays, including tours and cruises, until February 2021.

The firm says it has made the decision due to the coronavirus pandemic continuing to cause uncertainty for travel plans.

The holidays giant, which caters specifically to Brits, said that it plans to re-start operations in February 2021.

The company said the move also came after speaking to customers, in a bid to reassure them that holidays would not be cancelled "at short notice" in the event of last-minute travel restrictions or changes to FCO travel advice.

All affected customers are being contacted by the company's sales team, and will be offered an array of options including refunds and re-booking alternatives.

Titan Travel was forced to suspend all operations earlier this year when the pandemic broke, and had initially said this would apply to trips until the 1st November 2020.

However, this has now been extended to holidays until the 31st January 2021.

The company has set up a dedicated travel updates page for its customers, as well as holidaymakers who are considering booking a trip next year.

The firm has already introduced a series of new policies in a bid to make things easier for travellers including a £49 Flexi Deposit on all new bookings before the 1st March 2021.

This allows Brits to change their booking at no extra cost an unlimited number of times, until 75 days prior to departure.

Andy Squirrell, Managing Director, Titan Travel, said: "Having kept in close communication with our customers throughout the lockdown period, we have listened to and understand the concerns some travellers have been feeling ahead of their upcoming holiday due to the ongoing outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

"With this in mind, and acknowledging the fluidity of travel advice at this time, Titan has taken the decision to restart all operations from 01 February 2021.

"By doing so, we hope to provide all customers with clarity and reassurance in Titan by not cancelling our tours at short notice whilst providing affected customers with a choice of next steps in advance to find the best solution for them.

"We’re confident that our new policies’, including Peace Of Mind, Flexi-Deposit and Protection Promise gives our customers the control, flexibility and assurance they seek to book and travel with confidence.

"Earlier this year we introduced our Peace Of Mind policy to provide customers with the option to postpone or transfer onto another holiday at a later date should they wish.

"We have received a phenomenal response from customers who have already taken advantage of this policy and wish to thank everyone that has done so for their continued support.

"It is evident that there is still a strong demand to travel with 2021 availability selling fast."
