TIRUPATI: Former trust board chairman of Tirupati's Srikalahasti temple in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor district PR Mohan died at the age of 72 at his residence at Srikalahasti late on Sunday.
PR Mohan was a former Andhra Ranji cricketer who later went on to serve as the chairman of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh during the tenure of former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu who heard PR Mohan's demise reached Srikalahasti on Monday and personally extended his condolences to the bereaved family members.
Naidu recalled PR Mohan's services to the Telugu Desam Party and to the sports body.
He termed his death as a great loss to sports.
Andhra Cricket Association and SAAP officials also expressed their condolences.
