Tirupati: Sri Kodandarama swamy temple annual Brahmotsavams begin

TIRUPATI: The annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple began on a colourful note with the conduct of the celestial Dwajarohanam rituals at the ancient TTD temple in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati on Wednesday.

After the Tiruveedhi utsavam held in the morning, the Dwaja-Patam with the image of Garuda - the king of birds - was hoisted on the Dwajasthambham amidst the recital of the vedic hymns by the priests at the auspicious Vrishabha lagnam between 9.15-9.45am.

Later, Asthanam and the Snapana Tirumanjanam rituals took place inside the main temple complex.

TTD Pedda Jeeyar swamy and Chinna Jeeyar swamy along with special grade deputy executive officer Parvati, temple inspector Jaya Kumar and scores of devotees took part in the event.
