Campus interview
A campus interview was held at V.O.C.College of Education, Thoothukudi, on March 22. It was conducted by Sakthi Vinayakar Hindu Vidyalaya CBSE Higher Secondary School to recruit M.Ed. II year and B.Ed. II year graduands. College Principal T.Kanakaraj welcomed the gathering. School Principal S. Parvathi spelled out the expectations of their school.
The interview was conducted in two phases. In the first phase, seventy candidates participated. In the second phase, the candidates were tested for their teaching competency.
World Water Day
World Water Day was observed by Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thoothukudi and Rotary Club of Seaside on March 22, It was coordinated by the Department of Aquatic Environment Management. P. Padmavathy, Professor and Head, welcomed the gathering. Dean i/c R.Santhakumar, in his address, stressed the importance of water conservation for the sake of posterity. Rotarians S. Saravanakumar, M.Balamurugan, and Oscar Fernando spoke. Various competitions were conducted for the students. Assistant Professors D.Manimekalai and S. Manickavasagam and PG students assisted in organising the programme.
Elocution contest
Tamil Nadu State Minorities Commission conducted an elocution competition at V.O. Chidambaram College, Thoothukudi on March 22. Peter Alphonse, president, Tamil Nadu State Minorities Commission, inaugurated the function online. Secretary of V.O.Chidambaram College of Education A.P.C.V. Shanmugam presided over the function. Principal C. Veerabahu delivered the presidential address.
