Tips for healthy glowing skin in winters

Winter itself means fewer daylight hours, constant chills, more sweaters, coats and artificial heaters. We all love spending our sweet time by the fireplace while enjoying our favourite wintery cocktail and snuggling up with a blanket. It’s surely the best season. But as they say everything comes with pros and cons. One of the most visible effect that it creates is on our skin.

Scaly and lifeless skin is something that we all have to struggle with during the cold season. Dry and rough skin occurs, while the natural glow disappears. Unfortunately, we may all know what to do, but no one has the time! With work, life, family and friends, the obligations never end. Well, you are in luck.

Manju Chaudhary, Make Up Artist has jotted down a few simple tips you can learn how to battle your winter woes without putting in the time.

-The first and the foremost step is to avoid taking hot water showers. Water should always be lukewarm. Hot water makes our skin scratchy and cause itching.

-Always start your day with a good moisturizer to hydrate your skin. Alternatively, one can also go for coconut oil as it repairs your skin and has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties

-If you are looking for a good homemade face pack to make your skin healthy, then we have a solution for you. Oatmeal and milk face pack does wonders to your skin. All you have to do is to make a thick paste of oatmeal and milk. You can also add few drops of honey (if your skin is extra dry). Apply it all over your face and let it dry. Once its completely dry, rinse it off with lukewarm water.

- The best home remedy for healthy eaters is gently applying riped Papaya on your face & neck for 5 to 10 mins and then washing it off with cold water or gently removing it with cotton, Vitamin C helps your skin recovers from the dryness and gives it a glowing result.
