Tipping Point viewers raise eyebrows as they ridicule ridiculously easy question

Tipping Point had viewers scratching their heads after an easy question left them wondering if it was some sort of trick question.

Host Ben Shepherd and the contestants couldn't stifle a few laughs as Ben read out a question that answered itself.

Due to social distancing measures, tonight's show is a repeat, but fans' jaws were still on the floor over the question.

Ben struggled to keep a straight face as he asked hopeful Lee: "The bane of any gardener, what kind of an animal might you expect to produce a mole hill?"

"A mole!" Lee exclaimed as the other contestants laughed.

Viewers took to Twitter to funnel their sarcasm, one writing: "Really, a mole? Never! #tippingpoint."

Another joked: "To be fair I was going to answer antelope to the mole hill question. #tippingpoint."

A third riled: "Q: What kind of animal produces a mole hill? / A: A mole. / Hardly rocket science..."

"What type of animal would you expect to create a mole hill?" tweeted a fourth, "Um, is it a lion, Ben?"

A fifth raged: "What type of animal creates a mole hill...you f*****g serious?!"

It's not the first time fans have been riled by a question they think is easy - a recent contestant won the jackpot after he was asked what day of the week General Elections are normally held on.

He guessed Wednesday - it's actually Thursday - but went on to bag the cash in any case.

"HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW THAT GENERAL ELECTIONS ARE HELD ON THURSDAYS?!" a fan raged.
