Tipping Point viewers confused as show goes back on its word

Tipping Point viewers were left confused as the show returned to four contestants after controversially dropping to three.

Ben Shephard was back today with another set of hopefuls ready to win a £20,000 cash prize. Viewers noticed today's studio felt a little cramped as the show looked to have gone back on its word.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Tipping Point controversially dropped to three contestants in hopes of giving the quiz show a new lease of life. However, today's episode showed there is inconsistency in the decision as Ben welcomed a full house of four players.

Neither TV guides nor the online synopsis note showed if today's episode was a repeat, forcing fans to question whether or not the show has gone back to its roots. Sharing their confusion on Twitter, viewers are begging for answers on what the show plans to do moving forward.

One comment said: "Back to 4 but says it’s a new episode?? #tippingpoint"

Another added: "4 people but Sky planner says it’s a new episode. I’m confused? #tippingpoint."

A final comment said: "4 contestants?????? #TippingPoint".

Allegedly, today's show is an older episode which has not been aired as some fans confirmed the series is not shown in order. A tweet said: "They don't show the shows in sequence that's why we're back to the 4 #tippingpoint."

Despite the mistake, some viewers were thrilled to be back to basics. Another comment said: "4 contestants are so much better than 3 in my opinion #TippingPoint". Another added: "So much better with 4 #tippingpoint."
