Tipping Point’s Ben Shephard left speechless as contestant forgets his name

Tipping Point's Ben Shephard was left speechless during Wednesday's [July 6] repeat episode as a contestant appeared to forget his name. Margaret referred to the 47-year-old presenter as "Bob" instead of "Ben" before the pair began to giggle.

This episode, which was first broadcast in 2020, saw Margaret successfully beat off her competition. The hilarious moment came when Margaret was playing in the final round of the show and accidentally called Ben by her partner's name.

Speaking to the Tipping Point host, Margaret said: "Drop zone two again, please, Bob." A stunned Ben then turned to the camera and smirked, before both he and the contestant looked down at the floor and laughed.

Following an awkward silence, Ben, who only just held it together, asked her: "Who's Bob?" and Margaret replied: "My partner," before laughing again.

"Is your partner really called Bob?" said Ben, who couldn't quite believe what he was hearing. Margaret replied: "I'm thinking now I'm going to take you home with me."

"Everyone wins all round then, Margaret," said Ben, "Apart from Bob who might be a bit put out..."

Despite her confident and cheeky attitude, Irish player Margaret was unsuccessful in her bid to win the jackpot £10,000 counter. She did, however, walk away with £2850.
