Tipping Point's Ben Shephard hits out at 'mean' machine as super fan left gutted on Lucky Stars

Ben Shephard has branded the Tipping Point machine 'mean' after a die hard fan of the show had a frustrating time of things on the latest episode of Lucky Stars.

The celebrity spin-off of the hit ITV afternoon gameshow was back on screens on Sunday evening, featuring Stephen Mangan, Sam Thompson and Suzi Ruffell.

Comedian Suzi was particularly excited to be on after admitting she was an avid viewer, but, like so many Tipping Point contestants she was left cursing the machine as the counters didn't fall in her favour as she aimed to win as much money as possible for charity.

Sharing a clip of the round on his Twitter, in which Suzi shouts "come on! I'm a huge fan!", Ben wrote: "The TP machine can be so mean, even to die hard fans"

The Tipping Point machine has been the subject of a number of conspiracy theories including c laims that secret magnets 'sabotage' games.

One viewer took to Twitter to point out his theory, writing: "#tippingpoint definitely a magnet underneath pulling that to the left, that's not physically possible otherwise!"

He shared a video to back up his claims and others quickly tweeted their theories as well. One tweeted Ben Shephard to say: "Hey ben im an avid watcher of tipping point but surely there is someone operating a magnet as counters dont shift on there own once flat on the board!!"

Reacting to Ben's video of Sunday's Lucky Stars, one of his followers took the same stance, responding: "Rigged more like it Ben!"

While Suzi was left annoyed at the machine, fellow contestant, Made in Chelsea and Celebs Go Dating star Sam fared better and ended up winning £5,200 for his chosen charity - Barnados - in the final.
