Ben Shephard burst into laughter at hearing a contestant's "Potato" answer.
Ben welcomed another round of players today ready to take on the Tipping Point machine. During the penalty point round, contestant Jennifer ended up leaving Ben in hysterics with her left-field answer.
Reading the final question to the team, Ben said: "Which small round vegetable shares its name with a bright shade of green?" Jennifer was first to buzz in and, after hesitating, answered "Potato."

She immediately realised she was wrong and burst into laughter with her fellow contestants. After Ben too broke composure she tried to defend herself as she said: "I had to try something, didn't I? I didn't know the answer."
Ben revealed the correct answer was "Pea" before having to usher Jennifer out of the game. Viewers were also beside themselves with laughter as multiple comments emerged revelling in the hysterical moment.
One viewer said: "The great Irish pea famine."
Another added: "Small green vegetable. A potato?!!!!" Other viewers quoted the answer with potato gifs or a string of laughing emojis.
