Ben Shephard announced Tipping Point would be making history during Wednesday's edition of the programme.
The ITV show welcomed Nyomie, Dan, Tony and Abigale to play in the studio as the new socially distanced episodes continue to air.
As Ben introduced the show, he said: "Now, Abigale, you are visually impaired so in order to help you play today, your friend Elaine is backstage and she's watching everything that is going on.
"She will be able to advise you via an earpiece as to where and when is the best place and time to play your counters.
"She won't be able to give you any help with the questions, unfortunately, as much as that would have been lovely.
"An independent adjudicator is sat with her but she will be assisting you as how things are looking in the machine."
He later took to Twitter to share the clip and wrote: "A Tipping Point first on today's ep as we welcome Abigale, our first ever visually impaired contestant!! Here's how she'll be playing along with her friend Elaine backstage."
Viewers were quick to share their admiration for both Abigale and the ITV show.
One wrote: "This is brilliant, we need more of this, can't wait to watch."
While anther added: Loving the inclusivity on today's episode! Well done Tipping Point."
"A first for Tipping Point. Marvellous. Good luck Abigale," commented a fourth.
Abigale was the first person to leave the competition and upon her departure said to Ben: "I'd like to thank the team for the and attention they've given me today."
Responding, the presenter replied: "Thank you and hopefully more people with a visual impairment will take part."
Tipping Point continues weekdays at 4pm on ITV.
