Tipping Point fans rejoice as player who went viral for adorable prize reaction returns

Tipping Point fans were delighted to see the return of Toby on Wednesday night's repeat show.

Host Ben Shephard was back on the ITV game show, which has been airing repeats after Covid pushed back filming the new series.

Player Toby went viral on his first appearance on the show, due to his hilarious reaction to winning one of the prizes.

He won a railway pass, and he told Ben he could not wait to take his family on the special trip.

Ben explained: "That's another six across the tipping point Toby, so we can give you another £300.

"One of them is the mystery prize as well, you've battled hard and it jumped out of the machine, so keen it was to get to you.

"You've won a family day pass on the historic North Yorkshire Moors Railway."

"Oh wicked! I can't wait to take the family on that," beamed Toby.

"You enjoy it, mate," replied Ben.

But many viewers interpreted Toby's joy as being put on, and he has gone viral on Twitter as people say he was "pretending to be pleased" with the prize.

He also became a meme with the caption: "When you get a sh*t present for Christmas & you have to pretend that you love it".

One viewer tweeted: "Looking forward to reliving Toby’s excitement about winning the mystery prize shortly. #TippingPoint "

Another wrote: "Awww Toby! Lockdown got him excited for a Yorkshire steam train like he's going to the Bahamas. What a sweet lovely guy #tippingpoint ".

A fourth added: "WICKED! Oh yes, I remember him sounding so happy about winning a trip on a steam train, hilarious! #Tippingpoint ".

* Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV at 4:30pm

"Had to replay that reaction from Toby there.... Wicked!" added another.
