Tipping Point fans were left in stitches at tonight's episode after a contestant suffered an epic geography slip-up.
The gameshow saw Jon, a Worcestershire firefighter, make the hilarious gaffe as he incorrectly guessed the name of an American state.
After landing himself in the semi-final part of the game, Jon made the embarrassing blunder as host Ben Shephard delivered quick-fire questions.
The firefighter was playing against contestant Sue, who was a freelancer from Pontypridd.
During the intense round, Ben asked Jon: "The name of which American state begins and ends with the letter 'O'?"
Jon had the option to answer the question or pass it to his co-player, but he opted to take the plunge.
He answered, "I'm pretty sure it's Ontario," as the host said: "OK, let's find out, is it Ontario?"
However, Ben was the bearer of bad news as he replied: "The answer we were looking for is Ohio. Ontario is a province in Canada."
Meanwhile, Sue stole the winning counter as her co-star lost another chance to try and get through to the next round.
Jon's awkward mishap left fans at home laughing at their TV screens.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "Geography isn't Jon's strongest point, is it? #tippingpoint."
Another penned: "Ontario???? As an American state??? Can we go lower than this?????? #TippingPoint."
While a third added: "Did... did he just say f**king Ontario?"
"Ontario is a Canadia you wet wipe!!" a fourth commented.
Jon didn't quite make it to the final round, and Sue went on to win the show.
She bagged herself a beach holiday for two people and a cooking lesson, but missed out on the jackpot counter.
She opted to dodge the trade and took home £3,400.
