Tipping Point contestant's failed attempt at 'easy' question leaves viewers in hysterics

A Tipping Point contestant left viewers in hysterics after guessing the answer to an 'easy' question on Thursday's show.

Four new players were welcomed to the show in a bid to win some cash.

Roger, a retired accountant from Worcestershire, made it through to round two of the show, where he was given 30 seconds to answer as many questions as possible.

Host Ben Shephard read out the question: "The name of which high street coffee chain translates from Italian into English as 'coast'?"

Roger then hesitated, before throwing out a guess: "Dolce and Gabbana!"

Viewers were left in stitches, with one saying: "dolce and gabbana a coffee chain?" with a laughing emoji.

"#tippingpoint that famous Dolce and Gabanna coffeeshop... Tipping point has the easiest questions of any gameshow on TV..." said another.

Another said: "Roger once went for a Spanish holiday on the Dolce and Gabbana Brava. #tippingpoint"

"Dolce & Gabbana, my favourite coffee #tippingpoint" wrote an amused viewer.

"Dolce & Gabbana is a high street coffee chain? #tippingpoint" said another stunned viewer.

And another said: "Dolce and Gabbana coffee chain? Typical #TippingPoint contestant."

Even host Ben was left stunned at the answer, saying: "Spent a lot of time trying to go Dolce and Gabbana."

Tipping Point continues weekdays on ITV at 4pm.
