Tipping Point contestant from Northern Ireland scoops £10,000 in nail-biting finale

This was the nail-biting moment a Co Down man won an incredible £10,000 on ITV's Tipping Point

Ronnie from Bangor was involved in a heart-stopping finale on Monday's show and at one point he came within reach of scooping £20,000.

In the tense final minutes of the show, Ronnie had the double counter plus the £10,000 coin both in play as they come within inches of dropping at the same time.

Using his last three counters, the first failed to make any impact on those teetering on the edge, but counter two looked very promising.

Host Ben Shepard was equally was excited and nervous watching Ronnie's final counters make their way over the Tipping Point.

"If this goes Ronnie, you could be about to win £20,000...I think it's going to go, I think it's going to go", shouted Ben.

But it wasn't to be as the double counter dropped without the star counter, bringing Ronnie's total to £3,100.

"I thought you had it, I thought you'd done it," added Ben.

But it was Ronnie's last throw of the dice which saw him claim the £10,000 jackpot, much to his delight.

The Design Engineer told host Ben how he would spend the money.

"I feels fantastic, said Ronnie, "I can get my motorbike now."

"You can get your magical Harley Davidson and every time you drive along you can think of us...in your leathers," added Ben
