Tipperary GAA confirm team will wear traditional blue and gold jersey in All-Ireland semi-final

The Tipperary senior footballers will not wear the green and white Bloody Sunday commemorative jersey in the All-Ireland semi-final against Mayo.

The Premier men wore the stunning jersey last weekend as they defeated Cork to end an 85-year wait for Munster success.

The special once-off jersey was a replica of the jersey worn by the county in their 1920 clash with Dublin on Bloody Sunday.

Speculation that the side would continue wearing the jersey mounted as they prepare to take on James Horan's men next weekend, but the county board have confirmed that it will not be the case.

Tipperary GAA confirmed that David Power's side will wear their traditional blue and gold jersey in the Croke Park clash, adding that the jersey was a one-off.

In a statement, Tipperary GAA said: "Tipperary Co. Board and SF management can confirm that our footballers will revert to the traditional blue & gold jersey against Mayo on Sunday week.

"The Munster Final jersey was a one-off replica for a specific commemorative day that will live long in the memory of Tipp GAA".
