You might be tempted to try your Royal Shovel or Royal Pickaxe to get rid of them, but it's actually your Royal Watering Can that clears them away. The clue subtly hints at this region and obstacle since the "purple caps" mentioned in it are mushrooms, and the only "swampy" area in the village is the Glade of Trust.
Around this biome, you'll find fairly large groups of vibrant purple mushrooms growing. There might only be a few of them clustered close together, or there may instead be an enormous patch. The treasure you're hunting for can appear in any grouping of them, so it's essential you remove them all.
