Hundreds of people have walked by a tiny sandwich shop which used to serve food through a hatch in the wall.
The Pitt Stop on Old Chester Road, Bebington sits in between shops The Carpet Gallery and Bebington Off Licence and Convenience Store. Just across the road is also Bebington railway station.
The sandwich shop would serve commuters and residents alike. However, people would be forgiven if they didn't notice the takeaway due to its tiny size.

It is understood the sandwich shop has since permanently closed, however the memory of the takeaway still remains. Pictures of The Pitt Stop still shows the original signage and the red shutters as you walk down Old Chester Road.
A Google Maps picture from 2014 shows a woman and two boys queueing outside the sandwich shop. Inside it appears a hatch has been made from the door which is where the food would have been passed through to customers waiting on the pavement at the entrance.

Menus also appear to be stuck on the glass panes and someone can be seen making food inside. A food hygiene rating from 2019 gave the takeaway a five-star hygiene rating.
It received 'good' across all categories. However, it is unclear when The Pitt Stop officially closed and stopped serving customers.
