Tiny micropub and distillery The Little Taproom to open on Aigburth Road

South Liverpool is set to welcome a new micropub and distillery later this month.

Partners Si Vanderbelt and Aggy Perreau are building their vision of the ‘perfect little pub’ on Aigburth Road, called The Little Taproom.

Focusing on providing a range of different options, the micropub will serve up to six real ales and ciders, eight craft beers and a range of spirits, many of which will be distilled on site.

Each of the products distilled on the premises will support local causes and charities, including Freshfields Animal Rescue and Friends of Sefton Park.

The Little Taproom is due to open on Friday, March 13.

Si Vanderbelt, co-owner of The Little Taproom, said: “I got into this industry 25 years ago and since then I’ve evolved an idea of what the perfect little pub could be like.

“Aigburth is the absolutely ideal spot for us to open, with a great sense of community and we've been overjoyed by the reaction to our plans."

Ahead of opening, The Little Taproom has launched a crowdfunding campaign asking for support with transforming the space into Si and Aggy’s vision of the ‘perfect little pub’.

Supporters could get their hands on merchandise, discounted bar tabs, their own distilled spirits and even have the chance to have the whole pub to themselves for a night with two barrels of beer on the house.

The Little Taproom hopes to raise £10,000 to help complete the mircopub and distillery.
