The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) has revealed the first pictures of an adorable red panda born at a top Scottish zoo in July.
Keepers at Edinburgh Zoo snapped the pics of the adorable eight-week-old endangered kit ahead of its first health checks.
The little ball of fur, which was born to mum Ginger and dad Bruce on July 10, is set to be checked over by the wildlife conservation charity’s teams in the coming weeks before being named shortly after.
The team says that the cute kit will remain in the cubbing den until it grows more independent from its mother.

It is hoped visitors will start to spot the youngster over the coming months as it begins to explore the outdoor enclosure, which was funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
Native to southern Asia, according to the WWF, the name panda is said to come from the Nepali word ‘ponya,’ which means bamboo-eating animal.
About the same size as a small dog, with distinctive red and white fur and a large bushy tail, red pandas are predominantly tree-dwellers.
They are currently under threat due to deforestation and habitat destruction.
