Week-old kittens have been rescued from a skip in Livingston.
The two six-week old cats were found dumped inside a box in the skip during the early hours of Tuesday November 9.
Cats Protection in West Lothian shared an emotional appeal after the pair were found, saying: “Folks, another low...these two six-week old kittens were retrieved from inside a box which was put into a skip in Livingston.
“Must have spent last night, remember that was minus two, in this box in the skip.
“Got them to our vet this morning, spent the day in an oxygen tent with a heat pad, wee ginger kitten okay, but touch and go for other one.”
The charity has launched an appeal to the owner to come forward confidentially and have the tabbies’ mother neutered, “no questions asked.”
“We won't ask your name, just please let us pay to get the mum neutered and there will be no more unwanted kittens put in a box and into a skip,” the shelter said.
