Tiny 7ft-wide house so skinny it can barely be seen from road goes on sale

A miniature 7ft wide house so skinny that it can barely be seen from the street has gone on the market for a not-so-tiny price.

The little run-down one-bedroom pad – dubbed a "bijou bolt hole" by estate agents – is on sale for £150,000.

It is made up of just four rooms, a lounge, kitchen/diner, bedroom and bathroom.

Set back from the road at the end of a long front garden, you hardly know it's there.

It may need work but located in plush Mumbles area on the outskirts of Swansea, south Wales, it is expected to sell fast.

The coastal tourist hotspot with a stunning beach means the average house prices are over £300,000.

The house, which is 7ft 3ins or 2.21 metres wide, is being sold by John Francis estate agents.

The Rightmove listing reads: "An extremely rare and special opportunity to purchase probably the smallest house in Mumbles.

"This truly unique property offers the incoming purchaser a chance to buy into a part of Mumbles' history.

"The ground floor has been extended to include a lounge for additional living space as well as a kitchen/dining room in the original part of the building.

"From here there is a staircase up to the bedroom on the first floor which leads through to the bathroom.

"To the front of the home there is a garden area and a driveway providing invaluable off-road parking and to the rear there is a small outdoor space with rear access."

It adds: "This bijou bolt hole is in need of some upgrading but presents a fantastic opportunity.

"Situated in a prime location in the heart of Mumbles.

"It is just a moment's walk to the bars, restaurants, cafes and shops that the village has to offer.

"And a stones throw from the nearby sea front promenade, with numerous other beaches including Langland and Caswell and the Gower Peninsular also easily accessible."

Even though the home is so tiny, because of the location it may not be on the market for too long.
