Tinie Tempah teases Rangers title song is ready as he tells Leon Balogun 'check your inbox'

Rapper Tinie Tempah has hinted that his Rangers title song is finished as he dropped a cryptic hint to Leon Balogun.

The rapper has promised to release a song to celebrate Steven Gerrard 's side and their success, asking for "a lyric from each of the lads".

He was then snapped in the studio with Biggs Chris of Love Island fame, sparking speculation that recording was underway.

It was Balogun who first floated the idea of a celebration song and on Saturday morning Tinie sent fans wild as he told the defender: "check your inbox".

And the hint sent fans into a state of excitement as they called on the rapper to release his Rangers song.

@kenny25614712: Get it released you’ll have another number 1

@rangers assemble: Better not be a sea shanty

@stuheffner: Straight to the top of the charts

@nathanfeely2: Hurry up and get it drop ya legend straight to number 1

@rfcgw: Tinie Tempah RSC

If the song is released it wouldn't be the first time the Rangers support has been involved in a chart battle.

In 2016 the Ibrox faithful were involved in a fued with Little Mix fans as they tried to get The Dave Clarke Five's 1964 hit Glad All Over to number one in honour of Joe Garner.

Meanwhile Little Mix fans were looking to get single Touch to the top spot, leading to some tongue-in-cheek rivalry.

In the end it wasn't quite Blur vs Oasis as neither song reached the top.
