Tinie Tempah's Rangers 55 tune TikTok divides football fans as he makes cut throat gesture

Tinie Tempah's Rangers 55 tune has divided football fans online as the rapper shared a TikTok of himself singing along to the Ibrox anthem.

The new song about Rangers FC 'Glorious 55th' was released last week to celebrate Steven Gerrard 's side lifting the Scottish Premiership trophy at Ibrox on Saturday.

The song contains lyrics such as: “Glorious 55th, Rangers shooter's score, Celtic shoot and miss.”

“Can you see us now, let me see you rep your team, if you're really proud, no surrender, no time to give up now. We're Glasgow, let's shut this city down... Stevie is a G".

The singer took to TikTok to share an new duet version of himself singing along to the tune, with the scenes from Rangers victory playing beside him.

During the lyric 'Celtic shoot and miss' Tinie can be seen dragging his finger across his neck, in a 'cut throat' gesture.

Back in December 2019, when Rangers played the Hoops at Celtic park, Alfredo Morelos was shown a second yellow in the final minute for a dive inside the Hoops penalty box.

On his way off the pitch, the number 20 made the same 'throat-slitting' gesture to Celtic fans and many called for him to be investigated.

Rangers suggested that Morelos' gesture carries a different meaning in Colombia and that he was simply implying the match was over.

It is unclear if the rapper was copying the striker's moves.

Rangers fans flocked to praise the London artist for their new hit.

One said: "Yessss. Absolute legend. This is how is feels to be Rangers."

Another commented: "Love it Tinie, Mon the Rangers."
