Who: Tinie Tempah.
Where and when: Dance East. 6.30pm Saturday.
Dress code: White T-shirt, black jeans, big trainers. Not the most inventive uniform in history, granted, but good for concealing sweat.
What happened: The chart-topping, Snoop-collaborating, high tea at Claridges-having MC is probably in the middle of the best summer of his life right now, and he brought all his earned confidence to the stage at Glastonbury. A packed, young-looking crowd delighted in a short set that was delivered punchily and even had a few special surprises.
Who's watching: The kids. As mentioned elsewhere, the teens are out in force this afternoon. They know all the words to Tinie's two hits – Frisky and Pass Out – and are more than happy to bounce around to the rest.
High point: Believe it or not, it was Lady Gaga's Bad Romance. This weekend has seen Snoop rapping over House of Pain and Dizzee over Nirvana, now it is Tinie's turn to appropriate an anthem to his purposes. His rhymes over the Gaga a capella were great fun, but they were really only an excuse to unleash that chorus on the crowd. Suffice to say, they appreciated the gesture.
Low point: A couple of numbers strayed away from the electrified style of his singles and into piano scales and acoustic guitars in the style currently fashionable in parts of the United States.
In a tweet: Grime-pop's heir apparent plays pop star and wins 2-0.
