Most will write a hilarious bio or pick photos of them doing weird and wonderful things to show what a fun person they are.
But one man's USP is probably one of the weirdest we've ever seen - and it's all to do with his feet.
Joseph, 30, describes himself as a "swimsuit model" but it is the size of his feet and the method of comparing them that has caused a stir.
A woman who spotted the snaps on the popular dating app was completely shocked, so decided to share a few screengrabs on Twitter for everybody to see.
The woman, from Glasgow, wrote: "This c*** has posted a photo on his tinder of his trainer next to a two litre bottle of Irn Bru. F**** screaming."

Underneath the picture is the message: "His shoes are same size as a two litre bottle of juice."
Another of the photos on her profile shows him posing in a dark blue swimsuit. He's turned with his back to the camera and is flexing his muscles.
He has tattoos on both arms and also some form of writing on his back.
Joseph's bio reads: "Aye I’m dead tall well spotted.

Before long lots of people were commenting on the post.
One man wrote: "Can’t wait to ask for my trainers in size 500ml."
Another said: “F *** bogin those trainers, take themselves for a walk."
