People looking for love have been dealt a blow as dating app Tinder has stopped working for thousands across the globe.
Singletons have reported being unable to send and receive messages, according to online monitoring site Down Detector.
Reports relating to the popular dating app have been recorded around the globe, with users in the UK and US among those frustrated.
One user quipped: "So Tinder is down, which gives me a confidence boost since that's the reason I'm not receiving messages right now, and *not* because of my personality."
Another wrote: "Not tinder being down when I’m trying to flirt during a meeting."
It spells bad news for those trying to make arrangements, with one person posting on Twitter: "Tinder being down when I have to tell someone I can't go on a date tonight omg stop I'm gonna feel bad when I tell them."

The app is one of the most popular dating services in the world, with bosses saying there are 6.6 million paying subscribers.
