With the UK now in its second week of coronavirus lockdown, many bored singletons have turned to dating apps.
From Tinder to Bumble, dating apps have seen a surge in users, despite the fact that they can’t physically meeting until the lockdown ends.
Now, it seems that Tinder is testing a new feature called ‘Swipe Notes’, that lets you message users before you’ve even matched.
Social media expert Matt Navarra spotted the feature, alongside a new set of ‘Super Like’ reactions.
He tweeted screenshots of the new features, writing: “Tinder is testing a new set of ‘Super Like’ Reactions and the ability to add a custom message.”
The screenshot reveals that Swipe Notes will let you send custom notes to potential matches - for a hefty price.
One Swipe Note will cost a whopping £14.99, while a pack of 10 will set you back £120!
Mr Navarra joked: "£14.99, tinder?!! I’m staying single."
Meanwhile, the new ‘Super Like’ reactions appear to include six new emoji - a star, a heart-eye face, a shocked face, a cry-laughing face, a wave and a smirk.
Unfortunately, it remains unclear when, or even if, Tinder plans to roll the new features out to all users.
Mirror Online has contacted Tinder for comment.
