Tinder app down leaving millions unable to swipe and find love

Dating app Tinder is down, leaving millions of lovelorn Brits temporarily unable to find the one.

In the past hour thousands of people have flocked to Down Detector to report issues with the romantic programme.

At 8pm more than 2,000 users were unable to log on according to the outage tracking service, suggesting widespread chaos.

Many people have temporarily switched social media platform to raise concerns about the outage.

"Not to sound desperate but Tinder is down and I have nothing to do," one user wrote on Twitter.

A third joked: "Tinder has gone down. Now I'll never find my prince.

"Not that I've ever had a success rate to begin with."

A fourth pointed out: "When you know that tinder is down, you realize you need to get a life."

Tinder has been contacted for comment.
