Tina Turner pays tribute to 'beloved son' Ronnie who has died aged 62

Tina Turner has paid tribute to her "beloved son", with the 83-year-old singer saying he had "left the world far too early".

Ronnie Turner reportedly died at the age of 62 outside his California home. The son of the Simply The Best singer was a musician himself playing with the group Manufactured Funk.

He also took a role in the 1993 biopic about his mother, titled 'What's Love Got To Do With It'. Ronnie was Tina's son with ex-husband Ike Turner.

On Friday Tina Turner posted a black and white photo to Instagram in tribute to her son, captioning the post: "Ronnie, you left the world far too early. In sorrow I close my eyes and think of you, my beloved son."

According to TMZ, the 62-year-old Ronnie died "outside his home" after "having a hard time breathing". He had reportedly been suffering from past health issues.

Law enforcement sources told the media outlet that they "received a 911 call Thursday morning from a person who said Ronnie was outside their home and having a hard time breathing."

Tina's eldest son Craig Turner, who she shared with musician Raymond Hill, died by suicide in 2018. Speaking about Craig on Twitter, Tina wrote: "He was fifty-nine when he died so tragically, but he will always be my baby."
