How to celebrate your 40th? If you are Giorgio Armani and this is your fashion anniversary, a series of dinners and events that comes with its own hashtag – #atribute – and the most spectacular guest list we have witnessed in some time (Tom Cruise, Cate Blanchett, Janet Jackson, Glenn Close, Leonardio DiCaprio and Sophia Loren), plus the opening of a new exhibition space and a big fashion show should just about cover it. All the attendees in Milan have been looking very on-brand in tasteful tailoring, and Tina Turner is our favourite so far. She steals the show partially through accessories – pointy silver shoes, pop of red lipstick, cheekily undone end-of-night silk tie – and partially though being inherently awesome, a characteristic that clearly shines through.
