The debate has been going up a notch every day this week since John Kennedy's claim Celtic were the best in the land on their day.
Rangers fans have been hitting back in their droves but one Ibrox punters has gone a step further.
He doesn’t just think Gers are the best in Scotland – he reckons the Light Blues would also be a big gun in England right now.
Robert Livingstone, Palm Beach, said: “Even non Rangers fans would tell you this Rangers side are the best by far.
“Even English Premier League fans are smart enough to know this club would be a powerful force if they ever got in the world’s best league.”
John Bruce emailed: “Rangers are now building from a position of strength and, with valuable player assets, thanks to being league winners and from successful European exposure, the club are in a sound position to cash in and strengthen with quality additions for next season – if needed.
“With a sound infrastructure, iconic manager and a successful team, Rangers fans have much to look forward to – with no noise from across the city.”
George Wilson, West Sussex, said: “As a Rangers supporter I am very proud we are 20 points clear of ‘the best team in the country’.”
Ahead of Sunday’s Old Firm game these is still debate over the merit of recent titles.
Jeff Brown, South Wales, said: “Caller Gordon Ashley says that last season shouldn’t even be recorded as football without fans is nothing.
“I’m guessing that he thinks being awarded a title by a vote when there’s still plenty to play for is Ok?”
Robert McNab emailed: “A certain Celtic supporter has stated that this season should be null and void due to there being no fans in the stadium.
“Should we null and void the titles for the years that Rangers weren’t in the league then?
“I seem to remember whole stands at Parkhead were closed for most league matches back in those days.”
Derek Hay, Fife, said: “I’m a Dons fan and Rangers are the best side at the moment, the table doesn’t lie.
“As for this season not being recorded, I wonder if 10 In A Row would have been claimed had Celtic won the title without fans in the grounds?”
Andrew Mathieson emailed: “If Celtic had achieved the 10 In A Row, would you still want this seasons to be declared null and void due to lack of fans and training games only?”
Joe Graham, Garrowhill, said: “Saying last season shouldn’t count is spot on though with Celtic getting awarded Nine In A Row at a zoom meeting. This season it was won by undoubtedly the best team in Scotland.”
But Bill Lockerbie, Northampton, said: “When your team wins the European Cup, nine titles in a row twice, a quadruple treble, an invincible unbeaten season, not to mention runners up in two Euro Finals, then you will have been the second team in Scotland to do so.
“So you are simply the second best, with apologies to Tina!”
Meanwhile Gordon Ashley, Ayr, said: “The constant moaning from Rangers fans and pundits to get Nathan Patterson in the Scotland squad is a joke.
“The boy looks a decent prospect but hasn’t done anything to justify a Scotland call up after a few top team games. Stephen O’Donnell has been one of our best players in the last couple of games and Liam Palmer is also well on front of the boy at this time.”
Elsewhere Dundee United’s gaffer has been linked with jobs down south.
Stephen Johnstone, Ardentinny, said: “Surely Doncaster Rovers are taking the Micky trying to poach Mellon from the Arabs.
“If he goes it will be just for the big wages on offer and better budget, not for the football.”
